Mission Viejo

Enjoy live entertainment, rides, delectable fare from food trucks, and games for the whole family. You can also shop more than 30 booths with craft and gift ideas.
At 9 pm, the sky will light up over Mission Viejo with a spectacular fireworks show.
Admission is free, and tickets are available for games and rides.
The City is encouraging residents to go green and save gas by biking to the event. Bicycles are not permitted in the street faire, but bike racks will be provided and located at the end of each entrance to the closed enclosure at Melinda and the Lake entrance.
A free shuttle operates from 1 to 8 pm. Shuttle stops are located at 12 marked locations around Lake Mission Viejo. No pets, skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles or grills are allowed within the street closures.

Details: Old Glory Boat Parade
The American Legion Yacht Club in Newport Beach is once again setting sail around Newport Harbor for their annual Old Glory Boat Parade on Tuesday, July 4 at 1:00PM.
The theme this year is “Founding Fathers” and entrants are encouraged to decorate their boats to celebrate this theme.
Leading the parade will be the ALYC club boat Valor with our Grand Marshal Newport Beach Chief of Police Joe Cartwright, followed by VIP boats that will be filled with active duty servicemembers and veterans. We are pleased to recognize Chief Cartwright for his service to the community and his service to our county. Cartwright started his career with the Los Angeles Police Department in 1999 but would leave three years later for Newport Beach in 2002. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a member of the American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291 and he currently is chairman on the board of directors for the Newport Beach 1st Battalion, 1st Marines Foundation.
The parade will begin at 1:00pm off the east end of Lido Island and follow a course throughout the harbor between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:30pm, offering everyone a chance to enjoy the parade.
All boaters are invited to decorate their vessels and participate in the parade. Registration is free and available online through the American Legion Yacht Club website (www.alyc.com) where a map of the parade route, approximate viewing times, and more information is also available. Participants will compete for class awards such as Best Decorated, Finest Costumes, Most Creative, and the Commodore’s Award, with class winners to be announced at the Awards Banquet.

The SAMLARC Board of Directors is excited to host this year’s July 4th Star Spangled Spectacular!
SAMLARC Members are invited to enjoy Independence Day at the Lake! Bring a picnic, enjoy the summer afternoon, and stroll by the Lakeshore Amphitheater to enjoy live,and patriotic musical performances.
Decorate your bikes, trikes, scooters, pets, and more with patriotic flair, and join us for a parade around the Lake! The parade will begin at the Beach Club and wind its way along the Lakeshore to the Lakeshore Amphitheater, where Bomb Pops will be waiting for participants to enjoy!
The Beach Club Bistro will offer snacks for purchase, communal grills are available for use, and water trikes, pedal boats, and kayaks are available to rent!
Star Spangled Spectacular Fireworks Display! SAMLARC is excited to provide fireworks display for Members at the Beach Club Lagoon! The show will begin with acapella performances by the winners of this year’s Voice of SAMLARC Singing Competition.
Friday July 5th Red, White and Blue Bonanza
- 11 AM – 9:30 PM | Exclusive Beach Club Access | Enjoy a second consecutive afternoon at the Lagoon featuring DJ music, community grills, watercraft, a balloon twister, games, and plenty of sun and sand! The Beach Club will open at 11 AM and activities begin at 3 PM! Access to the Beach Club on July 5th is limited to Members (and guests) with wristbands only. - 8:50 PM | Voice of SAMLARC Performance | Marvel at the musical talent of local singers! The winners of the 2024 Voice of SAMLARC singing contest will perform a cappella renditions of God Bless America and the Star-Spangled Banner before the fireworks show. The City of Santa Ana’s annual Fourth of July celebration will once again be taking place this year at Centennial Park, on Thursday, July 4, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. This free community event will include live music, kid’s activities, patriotic themed raffles, food trucks, a BBQ food vendor, and an amazing 20-minute firework show scheduled for 9:00pm. The event will then conclude with a brief glow-stick dance party.
This year will also introduce two brand new elements to the event:
- A Beer Garden for adults 21 years and older, brought to you by Frida Cinema. No outside alcohol permitted.
- The first ever Santa Ana Patriotic Pup competition. Guests are welcomed to bring their furry friends dressed up in their best patriotic gear. The competition is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. and the winner will receive a prize.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early and bring a lawn chair, blanket, and picnics. Dogs may attend but must remain on leashes. Centennial Park is located at 3,000 W. Edinger Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92704. On-site event parking is free.

The Villa Park 4th of July parade will be on Thursday, July 4th, 2023. The parade lineup will start at 8:30 AM and the parade will begin at 9:00 AM. Celebrate your red, white, and blue with the Villa Park 4th of July Bike and Walk Parade. You’re invited to decorate your bike, scooter, wagon, skateboard, stroller, scooter or basically anything that you can think of that would be a blast to parade around town.
Motorized vehicle participants will park along Taft Avenue and will enter the group at the end of the parade line-up.
The OCFA Fire Engine leads the way with OC Sheriff’s Department guiding the parade route. The entire parade is about one and a half miles long – get on your walking shoes! You can participate in the parade while neighbors lineup along the route and cheer you on. After the parade there will be patriotic music and giveaways.
