National Night Out is an annual event across the US designed to strengthen our communities by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and local law enforcement partners. The goal is to heighten crime-prevention awareness, build support and participation in local programs, and it’s also the perfect opportunity to get to know your neighbors even better! Informational booths, vendors, safety-related displays and your local firefighters and Sheriffs will be in attendance. Most of the events below will be held August 01, 2023 unless otherwise noted. Here’s a list of events in Orange County where you can participate in National Night Out.
Anaheim
Where: Ronald Reagan Park 945 S Weir Canyon Road
When: 5-8pm
Have fun learning about your Anaheim Police Department with friends, family and neighbors! This FREE event happens only once a year and is open to all ages.
Brea
Where: Downtown Brea
When: 5-9pm
Enjoy photo ops with emergency vehicles and public works equipment, K9 demonstrations, dunk tank where the kids will have the opportunity to dunk a cop! Balloon artists, games, raffles and more.
Fountain Valley
Where: Fountain Valley Sports Park 16400 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708
When: 6pm
Join the Fountain Valley Police Department for a fun community event! Family fun for all ages! Enjoy free food, raffles, games, a SWAT truck, emergency vehicles, K9 demonstration, movie and so much more! Movie begins at dusk!
Fullerton
Where: 125 E Wilshire, Fullerton, CA 92832

Bring your family and join the Fullerton Police Department for an experience where you can celebrate the vibrant Fullerton Community. Enjoy Free hot dogs (while available), engage in family activities, crafts and thrilling K9 demonstrations showcasing the skills of their four highly trained unit. Connect with neighbors, local organizations and law enforcement officers to strengthen the sense of unity and build lasting relationships.
Garden Grove
Where: Garden Grove Police Department 11301 Acacia Pkwy

This free event invites you to meet the community, talk with law enforcement officers. Watch live demonstrations, participate in giveaways and so much more!
Huntington Beach
Where: Main Street Huntington Beach
When: 5-7pm
Join the HBPD for National Night Out! Head down to main street to connect with officers and neighbors to strengthen the sense of unity and build lasting relationships.
Irvine
Where: Woodbury Community Park 130 Sanctuary, Irvine, CA 92620
When: 5:30-7:30pm
- Police and fire vehicle displays.
- activities, games, and face painting.
- Photo opportunities and giveaways.
- Food offerings from: TK Burger, Peartree Meats BBQ and Catering, and Kona Ice.
Attendees should bring a canned food item for an opportunity to win a prize!
La Habra
Where: Portola Park 301. S. Euclid St, La Habra CA 90631

A night to promote public safety. Enjoy community booths, police exhibits, demonstrations and watch a movie in the park featuring Lightyear starting at 8:15.
La Palma
Where: Central Park 7821 Walker St, La Palma, CA 90623
When: August 05, 2023 5:30-7:30pm
Join La Palma PD for a night of fun and community partnership at Central Park. Food Trucks and a family fun zone, and other activities will be available for concert-goers during the concert.
Ladera Ranch
Where: Founders Park, 28275 Avendale Blvd, Ladera Ranch CA 92694

National Night Out is an annual community-building event that promotes public safety, community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer.
You’ll have fun learning about local resources and services available – from emergency situations to preventative safety measures you can implement on your own.
Check out these hands-on experiences with our partners and enjoy inflatables, body art stations, food trucks, and more!
- Orange County Sheriff – Crime prevention, patrol cars, bomb squad, and search and rescue displays.
- California Highway Patrol – Patrol vehicles, activities, and try on the impairment goggles that simulate a drunk driver’s perspective.
- Orange County Fire Authority – Visit with Firefighters and check out Engine 58.
- 1ST LAR Marines – Climb on and in light armored reconnaissance vehicles (LAV) and visit with Marines from Camp Pendleton.
Lake Forest
Where: Lake Forest Sports Park 28000 Vista Terrace, Lake Forest, CA 92630
When: 5-8pm
Meet your public safety partners, OC Fire Authority, OC Air Support, OC Swat, K-9 demonstrations and more! At the event donations will be accepted to support the Six Points for kids school supplies drive. Attendees will receive one raffle ticket for each item donated, limit 5 tickets!

Fun activities for all ages include arts and crafts, games and prizes, a bounce house, face painting, interactive booths, and multiple Orange County Sheriff’s displays. Listen to music played by DJ Mad Platter and enjoy a free hotdog and Kona Ice while supplies last. Don’t miss out on an opportunity drawing for a chance to win a bike!
Newport Beach

Food, drinks, live demonstrations, K-9s, emergency vehicles, and much more will all be in attendance for this night, celebrating the partnership of Placentia neighborhoods, organizations, and the Placentia Police Department.
